Established in 1994 Wadokai Karate Federation practices the Japanese Wadokai style of Karate as developed by Ohtsuka Sensei, (1892-1982.) The Wadokai Karate Federation is based in the North East of England and has a number of clubs located in the Teesside area, with a further club in Chester-le-Street, Co. Durham.
The Federation takes it’s guidance from Sensei Shingo Ohgami with students regularly attending his Dojo in Sweden and course’s held in the UK. Full details of the history of Wadokai and Sensei Shingo Ohgami can be found on his web site Svenska Wadokai.
Instructors are highly motivated and wish to make available to all ages the opportunity to experience karate and the benefits it has to offer. Through hard work and discipline, all students can expect to achieve a high standard of technique and fitness comparable with the teachings of the Wadokai School of karate.
Strong values underpin the very essence of the WKF, with a key emphasis on etiquette and respect.
